If it's been a while since you last looked for a job you may feel overwhelmed with all the job related websites available now. It feels like every year a new website pops up so where do you start? Here are some popular websites I've found have helped me or my friends land some leads and interviews:

  • LinkedIn Jobs - Many large companies now choose to promote select roles on LinkedIn Jobs. This website is great as if you already have a detailed LinkedIn page, they will tailor job postings based on your previous job history. They also have an easy app available for download on iOS or Android.
  • Indeed - Another easy to navigate website is Indeed which allows you to do custom searches and upload your own resume for recruiters to find. You can also set up custom alerts and receive emails daily with the top new job postings based on your selected search terms.
  • Glassdoor - This is an interesting website as it has job postings, salaries and employee reviews of companies. They also produce a list of the top places to work in Canada based on real comments current and former employees post.
